Participant comments
Researcher
- I learned that what companies look for in PhD candidates is not only expertise, but also the logical thinking, vitality, and determination to carry out research, as well as a comprehensive view of the various abilities that the candidate has acquired through their research.
- I was able to think about effective ways to appeal to people in companies and how to appeal to them. I will do my best in my ES.
- This was my first time attending face-to-face, and I learned a lot from start to finish. Last time, I attended online, and I was able to practice things that I wasn't able to do there, such as making presentations while looking at posters, talking to employees, holding discussions, and answering questions. I feel that I was able to clearly understand my own strengths and challenges.
- Currently, he has reached a point in his research where he has hit a dead end, but he feels that companies are looking to him for the power to break through that deadlock, which has once again given him motivation for his own research.
- I thought it was great to have a meeting like this one that was focused on a specific industry. I agree that you should look at different industries, but I thought it was a great opportunity to talk closely with people in a familiar industry as the first step in job hunting.
Enterprise
- The students were extremely proactive in speaking to the company representatives, and I got the impression that many of them not only possessed the expertise of their doctorates but also had excellent character.
- I feel that the opportunity to interact with students through research is a wonderful opportunity, and I hope that this event will continue to be held in the future.
- There were many high-level students and many interesting themes in the poster presentations. Although I wasn't able to listen to all of the poster presentations, it was a wonderful opportunity to meet students and have close communication.
- I was impressed by how proactive the students were. The event wasn't too large, making it easy to communicate with each other.
