Participant comments

  • I tend to be quiet, which might give the impression that I don't have an opinion, but I realized that by actively listening and acting as a covert facilitator, I could participate in meetings and facilitate discussions more smoothly. It was a very meaningful time. I want to consciously utilize these techniques in the future.
  • I was able to learn specific facilitation methods, collaboration techniques, and how to interact with people from different fields through hands-on experience. Also, I had previously thought that what was needed was a decision, but the realization that what is truly needed is agreement (plus a sense of understanding) was a very new and insightful perspective.
  • Until now, I had been facilitating intuitively, but this guide provided concrete guidance on what to consider and what preparations to make before a discussion, which made my understanding of facilitation much clearer.
  • I gained a good understanding of the basic structure of facilitation and its purpose. Through the mini-meeting simulation, I was able to apply the basics of facilitation and identify areas for improvement.
