Participant comments

  • Since everyone's career is different, I decided that I would carve out my own career path.
  • By listening to the succession of talks, it became clear that even though it is a research job, what is expected of a person, what they can do, and what they think can vary greatly depending on the organization and position they belong to.
  • What was striking was that many of the speakers all shared the importance of "thinking things through."
  • Before taking the course, I was only looking at industries and sectors that perfectly matched my field of expertise, but the speakers had a broader perspective and were impressed by how they looked at jobs that would allow me to utilize my experience and skills. From now on, I would like to research companies with a broader perspective and strive to improve skills other than my specialty, without being too caught up in my specialty.
  • I'm glad I was able to broaden my horizons. Also, because each person's career is really different, I realized once again that it's important to think carefully for yourself.
