Participant comments
- I was able to learn about various examples of career paths, job hunting schedules, the skills required of doctoral graduates, and ways to develop those skills, and it gave me a clearer idea of what to do after completing my doctorate.
- Your explanation was specific and easy to understand, and I feel like I have a clearer picture of my future. I was worried that academia was the only path I could take, but I learned that there are many job opportunities and services that can help me find them, which was very helpful.
- During the initial chat, when examples of doctoral career paths were given, I was struck by the realization that you can only pursue a career path in the occupations and places of employment you are familiar with. I was glad to have been reminded that it is important to gather as much information as possible in order not to miss out on the career paths that actually exist and are suited to you.
Overall, I felt like I was able to learn exactly what I wanted to know, and the content seemed to remove most of the anxieties that were a barrier to pursuing a doctorate.
