Japanese Standard Speaking Test (JSST) support

Monday, August 22, 2022 to Friday, August 26, 2022
cost:
The university will cover the tuition fee of 6,050 yen
*Telephone charges for taking the exam are to be borne by the student.
Capacity:
30 people
*However, if there are fewer than five applicants during the application period, the event will not be held.

Eligible participants:
- Applicants who are international students (MC, DC) or post-doctors (PD) (PD) at Hokkaido University University at the time of application and examination, and whose native language is not Japanese
・Those who can participate in the individual interview (online) held between July 26th (Tue) and August 4th (Thu)
-Those who can take the exam by phone between Monday, August 21 and Friday, August 25, 2023, in accordance with the exam guide distributed after the exam is decided.
*If you do not take the exam despite receiving support, you may not be allowed to participate in future I-HoP programs.
*If you are unable to take the exam within the period due to unavoidable reasons such as infectious diseases, we will consider appropriate measures.
I-HoP will now be providing support for international students in their job hunting efforts in Japan by helping them take the Japanese Standard Speaking Test.

*You must register with Hi-System in advance. Register for Hi-System here.
Steps from application to taking the exam

- Register the necessary information in the application form
- Individual interview at I-HoP (online, Japanese)
If you fail to attend the interview, your application will be cancelled. - Recipients of support will be determined based on the contents of the application form and the results of the interview.
- An exam guide will be distributed to those who have been approved for support.
- Follow the exam instructions to take the exam over the phone.
- I-HoP will notify candidates of their test results in mid-September.
