I was impressed by how many people said that when they started working for a company, they were looking for the thinking skills they had developed through their doctoral research rather than the expertise they had gained through their doctoral research.
What impressed me most was that each of the speakers had faced multiple crossroads in their careers, and each time they had courageously moved forward.
