Participant comments

• During my job search, I had mistakenly thought that getting a job at a company was the end of the road. However, I realized that careers are surprisingly flexible, with options like changing jobs or departments, and that there's still a lot to learn even after starting a job.
• I was impressed by each lecturer's process of deciding whether to pursue a doctoral degree or choose their job. While their reasons for selecting their companies varied, I was inspired by their unwavering commitment to continuous self-improvement, even after joining the workforce.
• Until now, I had never heard of research positions in fields other than my own major, but I discovered that there are some surprisingly interesting areas out there. I also learned about a wide range of research positions, from basic research to product development.
• I was curious about career paths after pursuing a doctoral degree, so hearing from people who chose to work in the private sector deepened my understanding of career options.
