Participant comments

Researcher
  • It was very helpful because I was able to learn exclusive information that was tailored to me and that I couldn't get from the website or the information session.
  • I realized that there were many more fields and companies in which I could utilize my research and expertise than I had imagined.
  • What was difficult was that there was no clear break between the end of the companies' short talks and the end of the poster presentations.
  • Each company had very different requirements for employees and the atmosphere among employees varied greatly.
  • I realized that even if our research fields did not match, we could match people based on the research content by changing the perspective of how we looked at the research.
Enterprise
  • I thought it was great that the students were highly motivated and commented that the university provided a lot of support. The company booth explanation sessions were a little short at 20 minutes each.
  • This was my first time participating, but I think it was a very beneficial opportunity for us to get to know each other better.
  • I felt that there were many students who were enthusiastic about their research. The explanations were easy to understand, too. I think it's a good initiative because if doctoral students can imagine themselves working in a company, they will have less anxiety about their future.
  • I'm glad I was able to participate because I was able to meet people I would not have been able to encounter through passive recruitment activities.
